Compare Celebrity; When the personality of celebrities comes into play, it makes all the difference in the world, as they are only human after all. That being said, when one compares celebrity to real scientists they appear quite different to be sure.
There is no comparison at all when you compare the real scientists who have won the Nobel Prize with the personality of the celebrity scientist. The Nobel Prizes are awarded for the discovery of science, and by definition, the prize is for the person or people who have discovered the science. A celebrity scientist may win the Nobel Prize for his movie or for writing a book, but it’s his personality that makes him or her so famous.
So why do real scientists like to be compared to celebrities? How can this be done to make the public aware of their work?
About Celebrities And Scientists
Celebrities are typically portrayed as being the most successful. That is why the scientists on TV and in movies are portrayed that way. They give the impression that their work is the best in the world.
That is fine with scientists because real scientists want the same recognition. Real scientists want to be shown as the best in the world. In fact, that is what they strive for.
They want to be like the great minds that have gone before them, and they want the media to recognize their accomplishments. Some scientists seem to be driven to fame and showmanship, just like many actors.
No Comparison: Compare Celebrity
That is not always a bad thing though, because a lot of people love to see how other people live and operate. It also gives a scientist a sense of direction, which is good for motivation.
But that’s not us. We’re driven by fame or showmanship. We don’t need to be recognized as the best in the world, we aren’t even interested in that.
As such, we are driven by something much more significant, which is how we personally use our knowledge and skill. For that reason, we tend to look at our work as being of greater value than that of any other person or group. In fact, sometimes we feel we are better than others because we understand more about what we are doing.
Enthusiasm And Belief
If you look at a scientist who claims to have invented a cure for cancer, you will see that they look at it as being a big red bull and it will not do anything. While that might be true, they still have that red bull in their hands and that is all that matters.
They have that enthusiasm and belief in themselves, and that is why they are so successful. That is the same as being a celebrity. And that is why they have so much energy to do it again.
Scientists like to be recognized, and they want to prove themselves. Just like celebrities, famous scientists want to be taken seriously. They just don’t need to take themselves too seriously.
