Early Life Of Aristotle

Aristotle is known throughout the world as a famous Greek philosopher. He was born in Stagira City located in Northern Greece. He was believed to be lived from 384 BC to 322 BC. This famous philosopher was from a rich medical family.  His father served as a court physician, but he lost his parents at the age of 13. He went to Athens at the age of 17 in order to pursue higher education. Aristotle enrolled in the academy founded by Pluto and spent nearly 20 years there as a student and teacher.

Career And Work Of Aristotle

Aristotle left the academy after the death of Pluto in 347 BC. After that, he spent nearly five years on the coast of Asia Minor, where he researched marine biology. In 342 BC, King Philip II summoned him to Macedonia to tutor his son, Alexander the Great. He returned to Athens and started an academy in the Lyceum, which attracted many students from different parts of the world. This brilliant man composed nearly 200 works during his time at the Lyceum. After the death of Alexander the Great, Aristotle was forced to flee Athens and died in 322 BC due to a digestive complaint.

Even today people admire Aristotle because of the significant contributions he made in almost every field. He gave insight into almost every field, from biology to aesthetics. He was the disciple of the brilliant philosopher Pluto. The writings of this great thinker were influential. His work on the physical sciences spread throughout the world. In addition to science, he wrote on many other topics, including logic, metaphysics, politics, ethics, poetry, and music. Also, a natural historian, he recorded data and studied sea life. The interpretations and observations of Aristotle were years ahead of his time.
